The final report of the Round-table on Canadian Contributions to Habitat III (June 2016)
On be half of the ICCASU organizing committee, It is my pleasure to share the final report of the roundtable on Canadian contributions to Habitat III which was held on June 22, 2016, at the University of Ottawa. With the participation of around 40 representatives from various government departments, NGOs, and Institutions, especially the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, the Honorable Jean-Yves Duclos, the Member of the Canadian Parliament Adam Vaughan, the roundtable represented the great opportunity to share different ideas/options on Canadian contributions to Habitat. On behalf of the organizers, I do hope the report can make insights and remarks for the Canadian delegation to Quito in October.

Volunteers needed for the International Conference on Chinese-African Sustainable Urbanization (ICCASU)
Hello everyone,
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist in preparations for the ICCASU being held at the University of Ottawa October 24 – 25, 2015. Assistance is required during the weekend of the conference as well as in the next few months as part of the social media team.
The success of the ICCASU is largely dependent on the work of volunteers. Volunteers perform a number of crucial roles in areas such as registration, accessibility, social media, and editorial work. Volunteer benefits include a free meal during orientation, an ICCASU t-shirt, free entrance to panel presentations, and a certificate recognizing your participation in the ICCASU.
Volunteers in the social media team are needed in advance of the conference to assist with preparing communications and documents to be distributed to conference participants, and on various social media outlets. Volunteers with knowledge of French and/or English are sought.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please send your CV and a short description of your interest in the ICCASU to Leah Weiler, leahmarie.weiler@gmail.com with the title “ICCASU Volunteer” in the subject line. For more information, please do not hesitate to visit our website at http://chinaeam.uottawa.ca/ICCASU/ or to contact Leah Weiler by email.
